Planet Football

Man is the central focus of the exhibition "Weltsprache Fußball - Planet Football": human beings regardless of age, origin or social standing who have sensed the fascination of this ball game. Football is a link between peoples and a source of pleasure for them all over the world.

The Goethe-Institut’s photo exhibition "Weltsprache Fußball - Planet Football" contains pictures taken by leading photographers who work for the MAGNUM PHOTOS agency. It is the Goethe-Institut’s official contribution to the FIFA WM 2006™ art and culture programme, and will tour 80 countries and be shown there by 144 Goethe-Instituts. Generous financial support from the Federal German government has made this project possible.
