While some commentators had stated that photography as we had come to understand it could be exhausted as a medium by the mid 1990s, artists represented in this exhibition (including Anne Zahalka, Rosemary Laing, Dennis Del Favero, Luke Roberts, William Yang, Anne Ferran, David Stephenson, Helen Grace, Sandy Edwards, Robyn Stacey and Debra Phillips) showed no sign of this exhaustion, as they continued to explore and refine their ideas and practice.
