In 1955, Richard Pousette-Dart (1916-1992) exhibited a series of paintings filled with symbolic imagery and natural forms, reflecting the artist's interest in spirituality. The luminous and poetic White Paintings represent a dramatic departure from the richly colored surfaces of his earlier work. This exhibition of approximately 20 White Paintings marks the first time in over 50 years that a significant number of these paintings has been displayed. Organized by The Phillips Collection.
