The purpose of the project presented at the TONSPUR_passage at MQ Wien, from 18th May to 13th June, is a reflection on virtual spaces, which are seen during this time as a replacement of public spaces. These spaces are considered an intersection of our private surrounding allowing to create alternative modes of gathering and more in deeply the possible forms of publicness within the privateness.
The sounds of each person’s flat together combined with the sound of the public spaces outside everyone’s window is what comes to light. These sounds themselves are then modulated, filters and transmitted through communication program, creating a portrait of these virtual spaces.
