Prospect Park V

After two editions of work by young, promising artists, followed by two large-scale projects by artists in their 'mid-career', the museum is taking a look at the other side of 'great expectations' and arrived artistry in Prospect Park V. Under the title If someone keeps it up that long, there must be something good in it , the exhibition focuses on four artists from the Netherlands and Belgium who have dauntlessly gone their own way in their work and life, and thus succeeded in building up a crystallised and intriguing oeuvre.

On display are: interior photos from Russia, China, Japan and Mongolia, by Marrigje de Maar (1944 The Hague – Groningen, NL); painted panels and works on paper in book form, by the virtually unknown Toon Tersas (1924 Weert -1995 Dessel, B); painted photographs and other works inspired by 'inclinationism', by pataphycisist Capitaine Lonchamps (1953 Spa, B) and stylish in situ minimalist work, by Dre Devens (1946 Heerlen – Maastricht, NL), and audiowork by Rod Summers (1943 - Dorset, England-Maastricht).
