An exhibition of international contemporary art from the Lyon Biennale in France.

The exhibition, produced in partnership with the Lyon Biennale, forms part of the prestigious ‘French Season’ - the multifaceted bilateral collaboration between the France and South Africa.

Initiated in 2002, Rendez-vous is an international platform, dedicated to young artists,involving ten curators and twenty participants, from five continents. The exhibition showcases new projects in sculpture, video, installation, drawing, painting and performance.

The focus on young emerging artists from across the globe, pose visitors with a unique opportunity to discover and explore a variety of international contemporary art on home ground.All the works on Rendez-vous 12 merit attention, expressing a diversity of interests and concern, richly expressed through performance, sculptural and sound installations, video and painting.

Other institutions collaborating on the project include the Musée d’art contemporain de Lyon, the Institut d’art contemporain, Villeurbanne/Rhône-Alpes and the École nationale supérieure des beaux‑arts de Lyon.
