press release

Vancouver artist Rodney Graham is one of the most celebrated and iconoclastic artists in the international contemporary art scene. For nearly three decades he has made works that engage a fascinating range of media and subject matter, inventing new approaches to landscape, literature, popular culture, music, and sound. This major mid-career survey features more than 25 works, focusing on the video and film work that has dominated Graham’s recent production. The exhibition is accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue and is co-organized by Grant Arnold, curator, Vancouver Art Gallery; Jessica Bradley, former curator, Art Gallery of Ontario; and MOCA Curator Connie Butler. Rodney Graham: A Little Thought is organized by the Art Gallery of Ontario; The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; and the Vancouver Art Gallery. The presentation at MOCA is made possible by generous support from Carol and David Appel, and Audrey M. Irmas. Exhibition support is provided by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada. Pressetext
