The March 12x12: New Artists/New Work exhibition features police officer Scott Fortino who uses his access to restricted Chicago spaces to photograph abandoned jury rooms, domestic abuse shelters, classrooms, and desolate Chicago lakefronts and wild flowers. Fortino explores the psychology of isolation with a near clinical formality and transforms overlooked environments into compositions that change the view of institutional spaces.
