Simone Decker

Simone Decker makes series of photographs, installations and objects which, by playfully and simply confusing the viewer’s perception, comment on the idea of art in the public space. Decker’s optical deceptions and trompe l’oeils consist mainly of questions concerning perspective and proportions of scale. At the same time her works are a form of hallucination that examines the conditions of perception and reality. In addition to an intervention in the city, which will comprise a demarcated area of ‘illuminated’ urban fabric, the artist will also create an interactive presentation in – and on – the museum.
