Simone Nieweg

The first major UK show by the German photographer Simone Nieweg. Simone Nieweg lives and works in Düsseldorf where she formerly studied at the famous Kunstakademie as a student of Bernd and Hilla Becher. Her work focuses on suburban fields and allotments. Devoid of human presence, these quietly beautiful colour photographs show the profound effects of human intervention on the seemingly unremarkable landscapes on the outskirts of cities.
