SOS is the title of the new performance by Regina José Galindo, presented by Prometeogallery in Milan on the 23rd January. It is a performance dedicated to women, to all those who are unnoticed and whose screams remain unheard.

The artist’s body becomes invisible, transmutating into an ear-piercing absence, a morse code that expresses an emergency, a call for a rapid help, a message that is disregarded and too often unheeded. Through her performance, Galindo’s body wishes to show itself as a collective of expression and condemnation of violence and abuse of the women not only of her homeland, Guatemala, but of the whole world – like Italy, where feminicide has become a phenomenon rooted in our society.

Together with the performance, the works realised for Documenta14 will be displayed for the first time in Europe: El Objectivo realised in Kassel for the Stadtmuseumand La Sombra, presented at the Palais Bellevue.
