This exhibition includes two video installations offering new modes of experiencing the art of bodies in motion. Soft Materials (2004) is a 16 mm film by Daria Martin, an American artist living in London. In this 10 minute, 30 second film Martin documents pas des deux between human dancers and state-of-the art yet simple robots as they improvise dance movements.

Whenever On On On Nohow On (2004) is a collaboration between Berlin-based visual artist Peter Welz and celebrated choreographer William Forsythe. This large five-screen installation allows viewers to enter into Forsythe's improvisatory body architectures. Forsythe's extraordinary movements are recorded by an array of cameras both aimed at and mounted on Forsythe's moving body. The piece was inspired by a consideration of the unique cadences found in Samuel Beckett's late writings, collected in his anthology Nohow On from 1981.
