The Villa Tugendhat in Brno, built in 1928-1930 after the design of the German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, is one of the most important monuments of modern architecture in the world. In 2001, it was listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites; it is now waiting for renovation and will therefore remain closed for a longer time. The exhibition, providing basic information on the building?s history and its peripeties, brings also the outcomes of the recent restoration research and the concept and course of the starting general refurbishment. Prepared by the Villa Tugendhat Foundation in cooperation with the Brno City Museum. Curator Jitka Vitásková.
