Unstable Places approaches the idea of instability – of a site or of a situation – in physical, political, psychological, and existential terms. Experiences of uncertainty and precariousness are affecting society and individual life as never before, and today’s artists reflect upon this in very different ways and mediums. On view here in Jerusalem, a city filled with conflicting convictions, are works by artists at the forefront of contemporary art, acquired with the generous support of friends of the Israel Museum worldwide.
