he THING, NYC was founded in the 90s and became known for building the first ever international net community of artists and art-related projects.

THE THING, NYC is designed to emulate the functionality of a Bulletin Board System. It allows for multiple user access levels, paging, threaded messaging and more. These advanced features facilitate user interaction and improve the workflow between artists, moderators, writers and editors.
