Art in Central Europe. 1949-1999" aims to offer a rational, historical overview of the various styles in employed from the end of the Second World War down to the present day by "unofficial" artists in Central Europe, i.e. Austria, Czechoslovakia (Slovakia and the Czech Republic), Hungary, Poland and Yugoslavia (Yugoslavia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia). The aim of this exhibition is to bring the public into contact with Central European art, which despite its geographical proximity is virtually unknown in the West.
