Lynda Benglis (b. 1941 in Lake Charles/Louisiana, lives in New York, Santa Fe and Ahmedabad/India) studied at Newcomb College. She is a pioneer of materials like poured latex, phosphorescent foam, stretched paper, and cut up ceramic. Her work can be found in collections including Guggenheim Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, New York, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
