Oriane Durand

Oriane Durand is a curator and author. She is currently the acting director of the Kunstverein Bielefeld. Between 2015 and 2020, she directed the Dortmunder Kunstverein. Previously she worked as a curator for the Kunstverein in Nuremberg (2010-2014) and Bonn (2014-2015). In August 2020 she founded the independent project space "Le Berceau" in Marseille. She studied art history at the Sorbonne in Paris and at the Freie Universität in Berlin, graduating with a Master on performance and Body Art in Germany. She is a regular contributor for Frieze magazine and artists catalogues. Amongst others, she has curated the first institutional solo exhibitions in Germany by Raphaela Vogel (2015), Sol Calero (2017), Elaine Cameron-Weir (2018), Mimosa Echard (2019) and Sara Sadik (2022).
