Through an impressive and encompassing array of artwork, the Visionaries exhibition offers an opportunity to witness the development of the major art movements from around the world, each of which shaped the course of modern art from the early 1950's to the present. Featuring masterpieces by more than 40 of the most famous 20th century icons, the Visionaries exhibition includes works by Chuck Close; Pablo Picasso; Francis Bacon; Joan Miró and Marc Chagall, among others. The scope of the show beginning in the early 1950's with a lithograph from Wassily Kandinsky and extending through the 20th century, features Abstract Expressionists such as Robert Motherwell; Frank Stella; Max Ernst; Roberto Matta and Jean Arp, as well as Pop artists such as Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.
