Pierre Bonnard (born 1876 in Fontenay-aux-Roses, France, died 1947 in Le Cannet/Cannes, France) was a painter, graphic artist and illustrator. In 1889 he founded the Post-Impressionist group "Les Nabis" together with Maurice Denis, Paul Sérusier and Edouard Vuillard. Between 1891 and 1905 he participated at exhibitions at Salon d'Indépendance in Paris. Pierre Bonnard studied at the University of Paris (Law); at the Académie Julian, Paris; and at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Paris.
