Auguste Rodin (born 1840 in Paris, died 1917 in Meudon) is considered the founder of modern sculpture, which represents the human body and its expression. Famous works are "The Thinker", "The Kiss", "Honoré de Balzac", "The Gates of Hell". From 1883 to 1893 he had a passionate relationship with the sculptress Camille Claudel.
