short biography

Piero Manzoni (b. 1933, Soncino / Italy, d. 1963, Milan / Italy) was a pioneer of the Conceptual Art. He made provocative works, like 'Merda d'artista (Artist's shit, 1961,)', and he created his series Achrome, paintings without brush and without paint, in which materials such as plaster or kaolin are processed into colorless relief images.
