Dan Graham (b. 1942, Urbana/Illinois/USA; d. 2022) was one of the most important conceptual and contextual artists. In his performances, objects and installations he explored architecture and its structure, which was fundamental to the formation of his interactions in public spaces. Dan Graham had exhibited at the Venice Biennale (1976, 2003, 2004, 2005), at the documenta Kassel (1972, 1977, 1982, 1992, 1997) and at the Skulptur Projekte Münster (1987, 1997).
