Edvard Munch (born in Løten / Norway, 1863; died in Ekely / Norway, 1944) was an artist of symbolism and a pioneer of the German Expressionism. 1892 he co-founded the Berliner Secession. Since 1894 he produced printmaking Publications. Famous works are: "The Scream" (1895); "The Dance of Life" (1899); "The Girls on the Bridge" (1905), amongst others.
