Paik Nam-June (born 1932 in Seoul/Korea, died 2006 in Miami Beach/Florida) lived in New York und Düsseldorf, where he was Professor at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. He temporarily worked together with Joseph Beuys, George Maciunas, George Brecht John Cage, Charlotte Moorman, Karlheinz Stockhausen and was one of the inventors of happenings and the Fluxus movement. His artistic practice spans many genres, including Video, video installations, multi-monitor installations, performances, environments, objects, music, and multimedia.
